About this event

Travis Machalek, Estes Park Town Administrator, will take us "Behind the Scenes" to find out more about the 1% sales tax approved by Estes Park voters in 2014. This tax will sunset in June 2024. The Town Board is considering asking voters to consider a renewal of the 1% sales tax at the April 2024 municipal election. This is your opportunity to provide feedback and to ask Travis your question.

MORE INFORMATION

In 2014, Estes Park voters approved a 1% sales tax to fund streets, trails, the construction of a community center, and emergency communications. Voters approved this sales tax, known as Ballot Issue 1A, for a period of 10 years, sunsetting at the end of June 2024. The Town Board is considering asking the voters of Estes Park to consider a renewal of the 1% sales tax at the April 2024 municipal election. Attend to learn more about the proposed components of this sales tax renewal, provide feedback, and ask questions.
